Plain-English, no legalese

We're small. We handle your data carefully and explain how here. Last updated 2026-04-28.

1. What we collect

Only what you give us or what the service strictly needs:

  • Contact form: name, email, optional GitHub repo URL, message.
  • Stripe checkout: handled by Stripe. We see only the email + last-4 of the card. We never store full card details.
  • Server logs: IP + page accessed, kept ~30 days for debugging and abuse prevention.
  • Project delivery: when you hire us we get repo access + env credentials. We treat them as secrets, rotate them at handover, and don't store copies.

2. How we use it

To respond to you, deliver the work you paid for, send receipts, and meet basic tax/accounting obligations. That's it. We don't sell, rent, or trade your data. No ads, no profiling.

3. Who we share it with

A short list of named services that help us run RepoAssistant:

  • Stripe - payments.
  • Resend - transactional email (contact form, project updates).
  • Chatwoot - chat widget on this site. Messages and email (if you share one in chat) are stored on their servers.
  • Cloudflare - DNS, edge routing, and email forwarding for [email protected].
  • Hosting provider - runs this site.

We disclose data to authorities only if legally required.

4. How long we keep it

  • Contact messages: ~12 months.
  • Project artifacts: ~24 months after delivery.
  • Payment records: kept for as long as tax law requires.
  • Server logs: ~30 days.

5. Your data, your call

We're a small shop. Email [email protected] to see, change, or delete anything we hold on you. We reply within a few days. No forms, no portal - just an email.

6. Cookies, analytics, changes

This site sets no marketing cookies and runs no third-party analytics today. The Chatwoot chat widget sets a small number of functional cookies on your browser so your chat history persists across pages and visits. If we add anything else we'll update this page.
